Sunset 44 is Kirkwood’s hidden gem. While they do have an extensive catering menu, the restaurant itself is an excellent place to have a party. As the name suggests, the cocktail list is carefully crafted and very creative—but the restaurant really shines thanks to its kitchen.

 

Entrées include a wide variety of choices, like the stuffed meatloaf with cheddar mashed potatoes, a bone-in rib eye, and the brisket risotto (which is a port wine demi-glaze braised brisket over brie risotto). Brunch is available Sunday mornings, along with a limited lunch menu. Bringing the vibe up a notch is Sapore Italian Café, an Italian kitchen that may look fairly unassuming on the outside, but wows on the inside.
