Seated on 10.5 acres of land in Ebsworth Park, this residence was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a  renowned architect in the 20th century. This was the first building Wright built in St. Louis and is only one of only the buildings he built in Missouri. This 1900-square-foot home was designed for a local family and has been restored since its original construction. Tours, additional classes, and learning opportunities are offered on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Advance reservation is required if you want to participate in a tour.

2. Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center

Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center boasts 112 acres of forests primarily containing oak and hickory trees. There are three on-site paved trails, as well as an indoor nature center, aquarium, and beehive. Regular programs are conducted by naturalists, and classes are taught to help guests of all ages engage with nature on a deeper level. The nature center opens from 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. daily, but the building opens only on Tuesdays to Saturdays. There are also volunteer opportunities available in case any local owners of Kirkwood real estate are interested in getting involved on a regular basis.
